โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Seol Grill: A Culinary Gem with Outstanding Staff in Raleigh, NC
Seol Grill is hands down the best Korean BBQ experience Iโve had in North Carolina. From the moment you walk in, the inviting ambiance and the warmth of the staff make you feel like youโre a part of their family. The dรฉcor perfectly balances modern aesthetics with traditional Korean touches, creating an atmosphere thatโs both cozy and vibrant. Itโs not just a meal here; itโs an experience, and one that youโll be eager to repeat time and again.
The food at Seol Grill is simply out of this world. Every dish is a celebration of flavors, with meats that are marinated to perfection and cooked right at your table. The side dishes, or banchan, are equally impressive, offering a variety of tastes and textures that complement the main courses beautifully. But what really elevates the experience is the impeccable service. Song, the bartender, is a master at his craft. His soju booms are not only delicious but are also served with such flair and enthusiasm that they instantly brighten your evening. The entire staff, from the kitchen to the front of the house, works seamlessly together to ensure that every detail of your meal is perfect.
The service at Seol Grill is truly top-tier. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Ashley, our waitress, was particularly outstanding. Her knowledge of the menu and her genuine enthusiasm for the food made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She was attentive, making sure our drinks were full and that our grill was always at the right temperature. Her friendly and engaging demeanor, along with Songโs entertaining and professional presence at the bar, truly made our night one to remember.
One thing that sets Seol Grill apart is how much the staff cares about the quality of your experience. Theyโre not just serving food; theyโre sharing their passion for Korean cuisine with you. Every piece of meat is tender, juicy, and of the highest quality, and the staffโs attention to detail in the preparation and presentation is remarkable. The sauces and marinades are a perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and savory, bringing out the best in each dish. You can tell that the team takes great pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the meal.
In conclusion, Seol Grill is more than just a restaurant; itโs a place where memories are made, thanks to the incredible food and the even more incredible staff. Whether youโre out with friends, on a date, or just in the mood for an unforgettable meal, Seol Grill delivers on all fronts. The combination of mouthwatering food, impeccable service from staff like Song and Ashley, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot in Raleigh. If youโre looking for the best Korean BBQ in NC, look no further than Seol Grill. You wonโt be...
ย ย ย Read moreSeol Grille Review I don't regularly post, so please understand that I feel very strongly about what I am about to share. My 1st/last experience with this restaurant (located on Walnut St., Cary) was mixed. I chose this restaurant because of the high number of good reviews on Google (over 1k, 4.6 ๐).
I chose 2 bulgogi bowls among other items and spent approximately $58. However, this post focuses on poor customer service.
I placed my order online, which gives you the option to omit certain ingredients. I chose to omit several ingredients, but not all. (This is where my problem begins.) The order that I received (bulgogi bowls) was void of all ingredients, minus the beef and rice.
Now, we've all received incorrect orders at one time or another, so it's no big deal, but I would expect the restaurant to take responsibility for the error and offer some type of correction.
When I called the restaurant to share my concern, I was told that the missing ingredients (onions and carrots) were simply garnish and that they prepared my order correctly.
I will put aside the fact that this was my first/last interaction with this establishment and shared that with the person I spoke with (his name is Song). I also told him that I was no longer in the area, so I wouldn't be able to come back today and would be back in the area next Wednesday.
After putting me on hold several times, he told me that there was nothing that he could do, and after I asked for the owner, I was told that there is no owner and that I should contact Door Dash; nevermind the fact that I didn't order through Door Dash. He then put me on hold/ignore for about 5 mins, and eventually, the call was "disconnected."
I called right back, and after 8-9 rings, the call went to a voice-mail system. I hung up and called back again and was greeted by Song again. He abruptly asked me what I wanted him to do about "their error," and I asked him what he could do to resolve the situation.
After being put on hold several more times, he said that I would have to bring the incorrect order back, and they would remake my dish. I reiterated that I would not be back in that area until Wednesday and was told that there would be nothing else that they could do unless I brought back this incorrect order whenever I chose to come back.
As a professional mediator and 1st-time customer, I would think that Song would have offered any reasonable options to establish a good relationship with a new customer and prevent negative comments, like the one that I'm writing. But here I am!
Due to the very poor experience I received, not only will I not be going back, but I will share these comments everywhere I can think of!

ย ย ย Read moreMy 21yr old sons Jacob and, my 18yr old son, Matthew plan and take "food adventures" from our home in Virginia Beach. This time I chose the Raleigh/Durham NC area and Jacob chose Korean BBQ for the cuisine. We looked at Google reviews and found that Seol Grille and another Korean BBQ restaurant were literally located about 100 yards apart in the same, very clean upscale shopping area in Cary NC. We found Seol had a crowded waiting area spilling out the door (mostly of Korean decent) with no wait at all for the other restaurant. The people exiting were in great spirits so that actually made our choice between the two easy, #followthehappycroud. Inside we were greeted by a ROBOT "host" that helped the delightful human hostess sign us in. The wait time was listed as 20 minutes but we were seated in 5. The restaurant was spotless and ALL of its many employees were pleasant and welcoming. Even the smiling buss staff made eye contact and said hello. Our hostess sat us at a beautifully set up very comfortable booth. She patiently explained everything about our experience and the many small food dishes and sauces that were neatly waiting for us. This was my first experience with Korean BBQ and she knew that I was a little overwhelmed by the beautiful set up and the electronic controls for everything from the grill temp to requesting wait staff. While we had three staff attending to various aspects of our experience. The gentleman that was in charge of our table introduced himself as "T" and continued the amazingly high level of good spirited service with explanations of the dozens of choices of items available for our grilling fun and the many sides. The spicy Raman and kimshi were our favorites. Everything we chose, 4 different meats, were delivered in surprisingly large portions and were of high quality perfectly seasoned and very fresh. I was expecting a typical "All you can eat" trick of long wait times between orders and small portions designed to wear you down. Definitely not the case here. They are incredibly fast and generous. All of our food choices deserve a post of their own. At only $40 I left feeling as if we had just had a $200 dining experience at a far more pretentious restaurant! I simply cannot say enough about the complete, start to finish, quality and friendly professional service they provided us. It's very rare in a time when most restaurants have trouble staffing and struggling with high food cost to find a restaurant that leaves you feeling like you received more than you paid for. It was well worth our 6 hr round trip and overnight hotel stay. Whoever owns and manages this restaurant should be proud about GETTING IT RIGHT! Seol Grille...
